Wanted: Cell Phone Design Ideas for Users with Cognitive Disabilities

Visit this Cognitive Accessibility facebook page to give your thoughts about accessible technology design for people with cognitive disabilities. Your comments will help create design standards through a new committee (the RESNA Committee for Cognitive Technologies). This is a project of the RERC-ACT University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. They are particularly interested in cell phones for early work, but all technologies (such as microwaves, computers, remote controls, or music players) are of interest. Their goal is to address the needs of people with cognitive disorders resulting from conditions such as Alzheimer’s, attention disorder, autism, brain injury, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, learning disability, Parkinson’s disease and stroke. Of course, everyone benefits from better design.
